All human beings were created in the image and likeness of God for He created man and woman and gave them this wondrous gift of sexual intercourse to join them together as one husband and one wife, physically and spiritually. Jesus said that this is why a man leaves his parents—
to be united with his wife and they become one flesh (see Mark 10:7-8)

Sex is not about some cheap thrill or a conquest at a weekend frat party. It is about a wonderful, exciting, fulfilling, holy union between two creations of God; one being a man and the other being a woman in the confines of marriage. Your body belongs to God and a cheap sexual thrill is considered by God as priceless as garbage. Thrills are so empty and shallow, are only for the moment, are riddled with guilt sometime later in life and are rooted with disappointments and regrets.

Our sexuality is much more than a meaningless sex act. We are not just dumb animals without control over our urges, but beings lovingly created by our wonderful creator GOD to worship Him through our words and our actions. We are His treasures and in His sight we are valuable and our bodies are to be sacred temples (see Roman 12:1). Recreational sex is a pathetic forgery of God’s wonderful gift of authentic sexuality. Recreational sex is cheap but it isn’t free. The cost is loss of self-respect, low self-esteem, guilt of an unwanted pregnancy, unforgiveness of self and others, loss of relationship with God and perhaps the loss of the ability to love faithfully.
